This new release from Maybelline went viral on TikTok, so we decided to test it out and see what all the fuss is about. Maybelline is a great option for drugstore mascaras, so this new product got us all excited.
The mascara brush is rubbery, thin and the wand is very flexible. This would be great for smaller eyes and lashes, because the design of the brush and wand allows you to be precise with application.
We found the wobbly wand a bit difficult to use and thought a stiffer one would make it easier to get to the roots of the lashes.
It doesn’t do much for volume, but it really lengthens the lashes and the result is dramatic.
It’s very long wearing, doesn’t flake and holds up really well. Even the non-waterproof version is a bit tricky to take off, but that’s probably the price we need to pay to avoid “raccoon eyes” as the mascara wears off.
This is an affordable, long wearing and a great lengthening mascara. However, we think that the original Lash Sensational is better at both lengthening and volumising and would be a better choice if you want the best of both worlds.
